Type Locality and Naming

Forest survey team in 1979 ~ 1980 named. Jilin Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources first publicly quoted in 1981. The named section is located in South Village, Lao Heishan Township, Dongning County, Heilongjiang Province.

Synonym: Nacun Fm. The stratigraphy of the Dongningsuifen area was divided from bottom to top by Tiao1 Group (1979) of Heilongjiang District into Paaigou Formation and Tianqiao Ling Formation, whose age was regarded as questionable Early and Middle Jurassic. The comprehensive geological survey brigade of Jilin geological bureau (1979 ~ 1980) divided a set of sedimentary strata in the area south of Lao Heishan Township, Dongning County into Nancun Fm, Luoquanzhan Fm and Songshushan Fm from bottom to top. In 1981 Jilin Bureau of Geology and Mineral Area Survey Report 1:200 000 Old Black Mountain Commune published.


Lithology and Thickness

The composition of gray-black andesitic basalt, deep gray-green almond-shaped pyroxene andesite, andesitic breccia tuff lava, andesitic breccia limestone. 550 m thick

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

It is in unconformable contact with the Upper Kedao Fm of the underlying Permian.

Upper contact

Implied that the Luoquanzhan Fm is the next younger regional unit.

Regional extent

The group is located in the south village of Laoheishan township, Dongning County, Heilongjiang province, along with Taipinggou, Daxunzi, Sanjianlazi, 12 ways Weizi, and Xiuxi mountain.
